Worst Mexican restaurant you cam find. Everything is dry and cold. Only fries were good. Best to avoid this place. Below reviews are fake. Salsas are bad as well. Nothing is made from scratch.

Jeez, these reviews are pretty extreme. I ate here recently and had a pretty good experience. It did take a while to get my food, the menu is pretty limited, and the prices are on par with everywhere else in Hill City (expensive). Still, the food wasn't bad; I had the pork burrito. I can usually eat a lot, and it filled me up!

Portion size was filling but the food was bland. Not what I expected for Mexican food. Place wasn't too busy but the staff seemed hurried and forgetful.

I am a vegetarian. Despite asking to ensure that my dish had no meat, it was served with bacon inside. I have been waiting over 40 minutes for her to replace the wrongly made item. I strongly recommend avoiding.

Service is awful. Water is not part of the meal and whose heard of a mexican restaurant that is out of salsa. The food tastes canned and microwave. You'd be better off loading up at Walmart in the ethnic aisle and taking it home to microwave everything. Your soda comes in a can for you to open.

Overpriced, bland..... what kind of a Mexican restruant doesn't serve chips and salsa? No margaritas! Go to guadalajara's in spearfish instead, they are fantastic!

What a rip off. Worst restaurant ever! Food was cold, I wouldn't feed that slop to a pig. Maybe they should buy a Mexican cook book and hire a real cook. No chips and salsa... epic fail. Owner came in while we were there. She was loud and rude and only concerned about the money in the drawer. Total tourist trap. I can't believe Hill City allows them to conduct business there, they should be ashamed. Run, don't walk away!

Worst customer service I have ever experienced!!!!! We stood at the window for about ten minutes before just walking away! They wouldn't even acknowledge us what so ever. Save yourself the time and don't even bother to stop!

Great if you're on a diet, because I sat here for 45 minutes and still have never eaten here. We ordered six waters when we got there and got four of them 30 minutes later and never got the other two. Seriously the worst customer service I've ever experienced! Never never never never ever eat here!!!!

The food was alright but some of the portions were really small. Busy place. The only two people working were the waitress and the cook. They were turning customers away because there's no staff:(

Not a fan of this place at all. Horrible. Service was bad and the food was not good at all. The owner there had such a bad attitude towards me. Treated us very badly because we are teenagers

I thought 2 stars would be low, but it's about right. The beans were good, the rice... Below average, same for the chimi. Pretty plain. Would likely look elsewhere unless you are craving Mexican food.

Can i give it zero stars?horrible, just horrible. Save yourself the time and money and go to Taco Bell . Freaking owner was more concerned about how much money she was making (she was literally adding up the checks) instead of how awful her food is. The waitress was nice, but even she was embarrassed of how bad it was. Which is not her fault. The owner should take some of that money she rips off from customers with her high prices and buy ingredients so the food can be worthy of those prices. Just save yourself from a bad experience and go to the subway down the road.

Went here because it used to be Maria’s and that Mexican food was great, but this was HORRIBLE. Enchilada was bland, the rice was sticky and overcooked, the beans are not refried beans and tasted like canned beans, the salsa was served with 4 chips, and everything is overpriced. FYI Maria’s moved to Custer! Worth the extra 10-15 minutes for GREAT Mexican food. I’ll never return to Rico’s.

Most bland Mexican food I have ever eaten. Only reason for second star is friendly fast service.

Three menu items to choose from. I went with the tamales. They were okay but the masa was quite thick on the ones i was served. Canned sodas, limited menu and pricey.

Bad environment, over priced and small portions

I thought it was great I love the salsa and I highly recommend the tostadas. Not sure what these other people are talking about I'm from California and thought is was pretty darn good
